VIP Pass Guide

The VIP Pass is Bomb Farm’s optional premium subscription. Official copy describes it as a convenience layer rather than a power multiplier, but it does change how the idle loop feels. This page documents every confirmed benefit, how they interact with the weekly rewards system, and what the pass does not give you.

What the VIP Pass includes

Farm Analyzer — A dashboard that reads your recent Battle sessions and suggests efficiency improvements. At launch this was flagged as a VIP-specific feature in patch notes. It shows which nodes your squad is clearing fastest, where energy waste occurs, and which heroes are underperforming relative to their gear level.

Higher offline bonus — The return bonus for coming back after idle periods scales higher with VIP. Regular accounts receive +50% on gold and XP; VIP accounts receive +100%. This applies to the Weekly Rewards system introduced in the September 2026 patch.

More House rescues — The ability to recover heroes from failed stages or accidental rotations is expanded. Regular accounts have a limited number of rescue tokens per day; VIP raises the cap significantly.

Steam Market access — This one requires context. Market access was originally a VIP-exclusive gate. The August 24 playtest opened it to all players who complete Stage 5-10 OR hold an active VIP Pass. So the pass is no longer the only way in, but it remains a valid path.

Skip restore — Originally a VIP feature, Skip became available to all players in the August 24 update. Skip restores a hero’s energy immediately, but only returns the hero to the field if the hero is set to fight. VIP does not add extra functionality here; the feature simply unlocked for everyone.

Weekly Rewards and VIP

The September 2026 patch introduced weekly rankings calculated every Monday at 7:00 PM (UTC-3). The return bonus that feeds into weekly calculations works as follows:

  • Regular accounts: +50% gold and XP from return bonus
  • VIP accounts: +100% gold and XP from return bonus

The bonus applies to the accumulated ranking that determines weekly reward tier. If you are farming between Monday sessions, VIP effectively doubles the return bonus contribution to your weekly standing. This is not a separate payout — it is a multiplier on the same reward track both accounts use.

What VIP does not give

VIP does not give direct power upgrades. Official policy is consistent: no selling power, no loot boxes, no pay-to-win advantages that cannot be earned through gameplay. The pass does not:

  • Boost damage or defense numbers directly
  • Unlock heroes or abilities that free accounts cannot earn
  • Provide exclusive gear with stats unavailable elsewhere
  • Reduce cooldowns on Ritual or House upgrades

The premium advantages are information (Farm Analyzer), convenience (House rescues, Skip), and economy acceleration (return bonus multiplier). None of these create a mechanical advantage that a regular player cannot eventually match through time and play.

Market access and Stage 5-10

As of the August 24 playtest, Steam Community Market access follows this rule:

Selling on the Market becomes available after completing stage 5-10 OR while your VIP Pass is active.

This means free accounts that reach Stage 5-10 on the Map get the same Market listing rights as VIP holders. The pass is a shortcut, not a monopoly. If you are past Stage 5-10 and still cannot list, check whether the VIP is still active — it may have lapsed without you noticing.

The September 2026 patch reinforced Market validations to ensure all sales follow the 5-10 or VIP requirement. Trying to list without meeting one of those conditions produces a validation error, not a silent failure.

Should you buy VIP?

Yes, consider VIP if:

  • You leave the client pinned for long idle sessions and want the doubled return bonus to compound weekly
  • You want the Farm Analyzer to optimize a roster you have not yet tuned by hand
  • You are past Stage 5-10 but still want Market access as a backup even if your Map progress stalls
  • You value the extra House rescue tokens for experimenting with squad rotations

No, skip VIP if:

  • You are early in the game and have not reached Stage 5-10 yet — just push the Map and you will unlock Market for free
  • You prefer to tune your own squads and do not want a dashboard telling you efficiency numbers
  • You are on a tight budget and the doubled return bonus does not feel meaningful at your current stage
