Bomb Farm System Requirements

Official Steam minimums and how the overlay behaves on a work laptop.

System Requirements

Bomb Farm is a small Godot client. Steam still publishes real numbers. This page copies those numbers, then adds overlay advice so you do not pin Battle on a machine that is already dying.

Install steps remain on Getting Started. This is hardware only.

Minimum (Steam)

  • OS: Windows 10 / 11, 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-4130 / AMD FX-4300 or equivalent
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • GPU: Integrated graphics with Vulkan 1.0 or OpenGL 3.3 (Intel HD Graphics 520 / AMD Radeon R5 or better)
  • DirectX: 11
  • Network: Broadband
  • Storage: 1 GB
  • OS: Windows 10 / 11, 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or better
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: Dedicated GPU with Vulkan 1.0 (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 460 or better)
  • DirectX: 11
  • Network: Broadband
  • Storage: 1 GB

Both columns require a 64-bit processor and operating system. There is no macOS or Linux listing on the store page we used. Steam Deck compatibility was still unknown at launch.

What those lines mean in the overlay

Minimum is “the window opens and Battle walks.” Recommended is “you can pin it over a browser and a chat client without the grid hitching.” Launch reviews called the game light and well optimized. Believe them until you also open a Chromium window with 80 tabs and a second game in exclusive fullscreen.

If the overlay stutters:

  • Close exclusive-fullscreen apps. Borderless is kinder to a pinned widget.
  • Drop Windows animation extras, not a quality bar the client barely has.
  • Check thermals on thin laptops. An iGPU at 95 °C will hitch even a 1 GB idle game.
  • Confirm Vulkan/OpenGL drivers actually exist. The 520-class Intel line needs a current driver, not a 2016 leftover.

Controls covers pin, mute, and mouse-only. It will not fix a missing GPU driver.

Network is part of the spec

Broadband is listed because the BombFarm account, Cloud, and Market are online. Battle is single-player. The client still phones home. Do not plan an airplane run unless you have tested offline behavior yourself; we will not claim a mode the store does not list.

Steam Cloud is on the store. Turn it on so a laptop reboot does not eat House.

Disk, sharing, and accounts

1 GB is small. Leave headroom anyway; Windows and Steam like to breathe. Family Sharing is enabled, so two people can take turns on one library. They still need separate, honest BombFarm accounts. Cloning farms for Market listings is the abuse case the developer already flagged.

Accessibility hardware

Mouse-only and keyboard-only options mean you can pick a device. Save anytime and no timed input for normal Map clears mean a cheap laptop is a valid Battle host. Beat the Clock is the exception badge, not the spec.

If you need larger UI, use Windows scaling. We have not documented a built-in ultra-large UI slider.

Bottom line

If your PC can run a browser and a Discord client, it can probably run Bomb Farm. If it cannot run a browser, the overlay will not save you. Meet RAM and Vulkan, plug the network, pin the window, and go back to How to Play. The mine does not care about ray tracing.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Can Bomb Farm run on integrated graphics?

Yes. Minimum lists Intel HD 520 / Radeon R5 class with Vulkan 1.0 or OpenGL 3.3.

Does Bomb Farm run on Steam Deck?

Steam listed compatibility as unknown at launch. Try it, but this wiki will not promise a Deck verify.

How much disk space do I need?

About 1 GB plus Windows and Steam overhead.

Can I play offline?

The store requires broadband for the BombFarm account. Do not assume a full offline mode.
