Squad Tier List

This list ranks squad mixes, not individual pixel miners. Bomb Farm lets you switch three teams. If those three teams are the same Attacker blob, you do not have three teams. You have one team and two costumes. Pair this page with the squad planner and with energy.

Early-game keepers stay on the early-game list. Come here when you can actually fill three docks.

S mixes

Farm dock — 2 Collectors, 1 Attacker, 1 Support, optional Specialist magnet. This is the overnight money printer. Easy or Normal. If chests do not move, you built a climb dock and called it farm.

Climb dock — 3 Attackers, 1 Support, 1 node-matching Specialist. This is the Map pin. Use it on the highest star you can finish, not the highest star you can queue. Progression decides the star.

Those two S mixes are enough for months. Everything else is a variation.

A mixes

Balanced 2-1-1-1. Two Attackers, Collector, Support, Specialist. Fine for people who refuse to swap docks. Worse at both jobs than dedicated S mixes, better than chaos.

Support-heavy climb. Two Supports when Hard starts deleting portraits. Temporary. Go back to three Attackers when Ritual +ranks catch up.

Collector trio on Easy. Three Collectors plus a token Attacker if you are specifically vacuuming a resin node and the rocks are already soft. Do not take this into Glacier.

B mixes

All-Attacker speed ghost. Looks great in a 10-second clip. Banks nothing. Use only to finish a 19/20 bar, then swap.

All-Collector on Hard. Cute until the node does not die. Then you write a review that the game is slow.

Two Specialists, no Attacker. Only if both tooltips are actually break tools. Otherwise it is a circus.

C mixes

Five copies of the header bomber. Stop. Read roles.

Empty fourth and fifth slots because fusion ate the roster. That is a House problem. Rebuild slots before ranking anything.

Inferno queue with Easy gear. The star is not a mix. Drop the star.

Spare dock (the one people skip)

Squad C is S-tier as a concept and C-tier as a fashion show. Its only job is to have energy when A and B do not. Put leftovers here. Give them cheap +ranks if gold is burning a hole, not your only +10 necklace. The spare dock is why Steam mentioned three teams. If C does not exist, your overlay will go still at 4 p.m. and you will call it an energy bug.

Gear on mixes, not on favorites

Put Ritual +10 on the climb Attackers and the farm Collectors. Do not +15 a C-mix portrait because you like the beard from the header. Stars from duplicates follow the same rule: star the wearer, fuse the spare, list the rest on Market only after C is real.

Account skill tree bonuses apply to whoever is in Battle. That rewards swapping S mixes, not parking a favorite forever.

Inferno footnote

Inferno is a 5-star challenge with an achievement. It does not get a unique mix letter beyond “climb dock, but actually geared.” If you cannot hold Very Hard, Inferno is a screenshot, not a plan. Living Legend and Myth badges are extra; they do not replace Supports.

When a season shuffles abilities, rebuild these letters on seasons. Until then, farm dock and climb dock are the only S ranks this wiki needs.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the best Bomb Farm squad?

Two squads: a Collector farm dock and an Attacker climb dock. Spare is whoever still has energy.

Should all three teams be identical?

No. Identical docks waste the three-team design. See energy.

Is an all-Attacker team good?

Only to finish a bar. It is B at best for a main dock because it banks poorly.

When do I change mixes?

When the Map world changes or a star starts wiping the dock. Progression first.
