September 2026 Patch Notes

The September 3, 2026 patch shipped Build 25110717 with four headline changes: a new Weekly Rewards system, expandable stash storage, chest drop previews, and Steam Market improvements that display rarity frames on equipment images. This page documents each change with play context so you can use the new features without rebuilding your existing rotation.

For the full progression picture, see How to Play. For the weekly rewards calendar, see Daily Rewards.

Weekly Rewards system

The September patch introduced weekly rankings alongside the existing daily login calendar. Unlike the 30-day daily cycle that never resets, weekly rewards are calculated on a rolling seven-day window.

Key rules:

  • Rankings are calculated every Monday at 7:00 PM (UTC-3) and repeat weekly.
  • The system uses permanent accumulated rankings, meaning your historical performance factors into the weekly result.
  • Only players who were active during the qualifying period receive rewards.
  • Rewards include Gold, temporary boosts, and priority items not available in the daily calendar.

The weekly nature means you have seven days to position yourself before each calculation window. Unlike daily rewards that simply require logging in, weekly rewards appear to reward sustained Map progress and farm efficiency. Plan your Sunday evening session accordingly — it may be the last chance to push a ranking before the cut-off.

The first weekly calculation was September 4, 2026 at 7:00 PM (UTC-3), confirming the calculation day and time.

Expandable Stashes

The September patch added expandable stash storage to the existing inventory system. This addresses one of the most common friction points in idle games: running out of bag space mid-farm and being forced to stop a session to sort or sell drops.

What expandable stashes do:

  • Add additional storage pages beyond the default inventory cap.
  • Allow sealed drops, materials, and equipment to accumulate between sessions.
  • Reduce the pressure to Ritual every item immediately or lose it to overflow.

The upgrade path for stashes likely mirrors other account-wide upgrades: gold investment with diminishing returns per tier. If you are sitting on a full inventory between overnight runs, this feature is worth prioritizing over cosmetic upgrades.

This feature pairs well with the farm-heavy playstyle described in energy rotation. A larger stash means a Collector can run longer before the dock needs attention.

Chest Information and drop previews

Chests in Battle now display their possible drops before opening, and indicate whether the contents are tradable on the Steam Market. This is a transparency change that affects how you evaluate sealed drops.

What changed:

  • Before opening a chest, the client now shows a preview of possible item categories.
  • Tradable items are labeled, making it easier to identify Market candidates without going through Ritual first.
  • The preview does not guarantee specific items, but it signals the rarity tier and trade status.

Practical use: When a chest preview shows tradable contents, you can decide whether to open now or hold for a Market window. This is especially useful during the temporary Marketplace access phase.

Steam Market rarity frames

Equipment images on the Steam Market now display their rarity frames, matching the in-client visual language. Rare items show a blue border, Epic items show purple, Legendary shows orange, and Mythic shows red. This makes it faster to evaluate listings without clicking through to inspect each piece.

Why this matters:

  • Faster visual scanning of Market listings for buyers.
  • Easier to identify high-rarity drops before purchasing.
  • Matches the established rarity system documented on fusion and house.

This improvement is cosmetic but reduces friction in the trading flow. If you are listing equipment during a Market window, use the rarity frame to set expectations. Buyers can now see the tier at a glance.

Interaction with existing systems

These changes do not alter the core idle loop documented in How to Play. Weekly Rewards add a recurring Monday target. Expandable Stashes reduce inventory friction. Chest previews and Market rarity frames are quality-of-life improvements that make existing systems more transparent.

The Daily Rewards calendar remains active and independent of the weekly system. The two reward tracks run in parallel.

If you were already rotating three squads and managing Ritual efficiently, these changes improve the margins without requiring a strategy shift. If you were ignoring Daily Rewards, the new weekly system gives another reason to engage consistently.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

When are weekly rewards calculated?

Every Monday at 7:00 PM (UTC-3), starting September 4, 2026. The first calculation confirmed the schedule.

Do weekly rewards reset the daily rewards calendar?

No. Daily Rewards use a separate 30-day cycle. Weekly and daily reward tracks run independently.

What are Expandable Stashes?

Additional inventory storage pages added in the September 2026 patch. They reduce the friction of running a full farm session without sorting drops.

Can I see what is inside a chest before opening it?

Yes. The September patch added chest drop previews showing possible items and whether they are tradable on Steam Market.

Do Steam Market rarity frames affect pricing?

Not directly. Rarity frames are a visual improvement that makes scanning listings faster. Prices are still driven by actual stats and market demand.
